Tuesday, 16 May, 2017 20 Iyar 5777

7:30 PM - 10:00 PMSocial Hall

Canadian Friends of Peace Now (CFPN) and the Darchei Noam Israel Education Committee (IEC) jointly present Dr. Michael Koplow.

The Israel Policy Forum (IPF) and its Israeli partners have been developing and advocating bridging or interim measures that seem to have gotten the attention of Netanyahu, Abbas, and Trump, and, if implemented, would keep the two-state option alive for the future.

Dr. Michael Koplow is the Policy Director of the IPF (www.ipforum.org). He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University, where he specialized in political development and ideology, and the politics of Middle Eastern states. He writes IPF’s weekly Koplow Column and edits IPF’s Matzav blog, which is a leading source for commentary and analysis on Israel and American Jewry. His work has appeared in Security Studies, Foreign Affairs, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, The Atlantic, etc. He holds a B.A. from Brandeis, a J.D. from NYU, and an A.M. (i.e. M.A.) in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard.

IPF’s influential network of leaders provides validating support for U.S. diplomatic efforts that seek to responsibly advance the goal of two states, ensure Israel’s security, and strengthen U.S.-Israel relations. Its mission is to shape the discourse and mobilize support among American Jewish leaders and U.S. policymakers for the realization of a viable two-state solution. It envisions a Jewish, democratic, secure Israel.
