We genuinely appreciate your consideration and support for our weekly kiddush program. The cost per person for our standard weekly kiddush ranges from a remarkably affordable $8 to $10, an unbeatable deal that includes both food and service, with no need for additional tipping.
If you’re interested in contributing, you have several convenient options.
In 2024, you can contribute $35 per month automatic payment or opt for two instalments of $180 in January and July, or a single donation of $300. We understand that circumstances can change, and you have the flexibility to adjust or cancel your monthly instalments at any time.
Would you like to make an even more significant impact? You can sponsor an entire kiddush for just $550 in honour of someone special. Whether you prefer to take this initiative solo or gather a group to share in the joy, the choice is yours!

This fund allows Rabbi Tina to provide assistance, guidance and relief to members of our congregation and the wider community during times of need, hardship or celebration.

Congregation Darchei Noam has been part of this initiative since 1996, when – seeing the need for fresh energy and reinforcements – we came forward to offer new volunteers and financial help; together, church and synagogue volunteers inaugurated the First Interfaith Out of the Cold program.

Convenient Online Donations via Zeffy:
Zeffy, our exclusive fundraising platform, ensures that every cent of your donation goes directly to our Shul. Say goodbye to credit card fees – it’s 100% impact with zero financial hurdles. Zeffy will ask you to add a donation towards their operating expenses, but this is optional! Note that if you do add a “tip,” that amount will not be included in your tax receipt.
- Processing Time for Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Transactions: A pre-authorized debit connects you directly to your online banking platform, passing through several layers of security before any funds are transferred. As part of this security, PAD transactions may take up to 10 days to be verified by your bank. Donors will receive a confirmation email when the transaction is initiated and a tax receipt once it is completed. Credit and debit card transactions are processed immediately, and tax receipts are sent right away.
- Transaction Status: When you use Zeffy, you get your own dashboard, where you can check the status of your transactions. “Pending” indicates a transaction is in progress, and “success” means it has been finalized. You’ll receive an email notification upon completion.
- Thank-You Email: The official thank-you email, including the tax receipt, is sent once the transaction is fully processed.
- Data Security: Zeffy prioritizes your security. Transactions are processed through Stripe, ensuring that your banking and card information remain confidential.
