T'fillah Database: Sounds of Shabbat
T
his recording is an offering, a chance to bring the sound of a Darchei Noam Shabbat morning into your own home, wherever and whenever you need it. You’ll hear our service leaders’ voices as they actually sound in the room: the melodies that carry us from welcoming the day through the Torah service, and the harmonies that have grown and settled over years of singing together.
We made this with two intentions. First, to share the gift of our service with anyone, anywhere, anytime, for those who can’t be with us in person, for those missing home, or for anyone who simply wants a few minutes of communal prayer in their day. Second, as a resource for learning. If you’re new to these melodies, or want to sing along, this recording is here to teach as much as it is to welcome.
This is what Shabbat sounds like here. We hope it sounds like home to you too.
