In an illustrated talk, David will explore the stories behind his photographs of historical synagogues, cemeteries, and Jewish neighbourhoods, made on annual trips between 2007 and 2016 to Poland, western Ukraine, Lithuania, and Latvia. This comedic and deeply moving solo show explores grief, love, and the surprising ways we stay connected. Ronit weaves the discovery of her father’s meticulously preserved archive together with funny, tender stories about their relationship and a powerful account of how he and his family survived the Holocaust.
