Join us for a special Refugee Shabbat at Congregation Darchei Noam as we celebrate ten years of welcome, friendship, and community. Together, we will honour the family we welcomed a decade ago and recognize the many members and friends whose compassion and commitment helped refugee families build new lives in Canada. The morning will include an inspiring D’var Torah, a group Aliyah recognizing those who contributed to these efforts, and a joyful service, followed by Kiddush lunch and a special program with reflections on the journey from arrival to belonging. From ancient Torah wisdom to modern Jewish voices, these are the passages that accompanied Rabbi Tina throughout her career—sources of meaning, challenge, and inspiration. Together, we will discover why these texts continue to resonate, offering enduring wisdom and insight for our own lives.
