Pins and Needles is reaching out to let you know that we are always very happy to welcome new members to our group. This month, we will meet on Tuesday, January 6, in the shul library from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and on Zoom on the third Tuesday of the month (December 20th). We knit, crochet, and socialize. We would love to have other crafters join us to showcase their work and share tips and stories. We would also like to inform you that we are currently in need of yarn donations. Especially helpful are donations of blanket-weight yarn and multiple balls of the same weight or colour. If you’re doing some spring cleaning and have yarn you’re no longer using, we’d be grateful if you’d consider donating it to us. Please contact nancy@kosiner.com if you have any questions.

On this International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we gather as people of faith and goodwill to remember the six million Jews who were murdered in the Shoah, along with the countless others whose lives were destroyed by hatred and indifference. Together, we honour the survivors who have carried memory through courage and testimony, and we reaffirm our shared responsibility to stand against antisemitism, racism, and all forms of intolerance. Through music, scripture, testimony, and prayer, this service invites us to remember the past with reverence, to cherish the resilience of the human spirit, and to renew our commitment to building a world rooted in justice, compassion, and peace. Even in the shadow of great loss, the light of memory remains — calling us to lives of empathy, vigilance, and hope. This event will be recorded. Register Here

Hello Darchei Noam community! We want to invite you to our post kiddish program- “From roots to fruits” on January 31st, where we will celebrate Tu Bishvat- we will share our experiences as Israelis during Tu Bishvat and add a meaningful and deep twist to the conversation by reflecting on our growth as people too. Ark Adventures is designed for young children (ages birth to 5) and their families to experience Shabbat in community together. The program is offered on select Saturdays throughout the year. Synaplex Shabbat 📅 Saturday, March 7 | 🕙 10:00 AM |📍Multiple locations at Darchei Noam We will begin together at 10:00 AM with introductory prayers, setting the stage for a meaningful and transformative morning. Then, as we arrive at the Torah service, you get to choose from three meaningful opportunities to experience Torah—each offering a unique lens into Jewish tradition, spirituality, and learning. Synaplex Shabbat – Choose Your Experience This Shabbat morning, our community will gather for Synaplex Shabbat, offering multiple ways to pray, learn, and connect. Select the experience that speaks to you: Option 1: Learners Minyan – Sanctuary Hear the full Torah reading and dive deeper into Torah rituals with Rob Silver and Reb Aaron Rotenberg. This service is ideal for those who want a meaningful, guided exploration of the structure and liturgy of the traditional service. Option 2: Ark Adventures – Social Hall Adults are invited to join our youngest cohort for a lively musical retelling of the parsha. Experience Torah through song, storytelling, and movement in a warm, intergenerational setting. Option 3: Discussion Group – Library Participate in a discussion facilitated by Rabbi Tina Grimberg about choosing Jewish identity through conversion.
