Last Shabbat, I sat in services and felt as though everything I love about Darchei Noam was compressed into two extraordinary hours. I witnessed the stories of our community come alive before my eyes.
- Music shared by Phyllis and Lenka that opened space for contemplation and personal thought.
- A young couple who brought their newborn baby girl to be named in the presence of family and community.
- A milestone birthday celebrated, with the honoree surrounded by generations of loved ones.
- A family commemorating their beloved mother and mother‑in‑law, sharing a touching story during their aliyah.
- A congregant delivering the D’var Torah—moving, vulnerable, honest, and universal all at once.
- New volunteers stepping up to read Torah alongside veteran Torah and Haftorah chanters; our newest Parnass leading us.
- One Of Our Rabbi’s guiding us with skill and warmth, helping volunteers to learn and grow and share their gifts.
- Children playing on the carpet.
- Shabbat school pupils and parents filling the building.
- Kiddush alive with members and guests of all ages mingling and connecting.
- Our artists celebrated as part of the Kiddush art project.
Wow. What a morning.
